Pepsi was where my creative journey began—and years later, it became the canvas for a deeply personal return to illustration.
What started as an instinctive black-and-white sketch on paper soon evolved into a vivid portrait of youth in motion. Hip-hop, street culture, graffiti, music and self-expression collided across the composition—not as decorative references, but as symbols of a generation that refuses to stand still. Every stroke carries a different pulse; every form speaks of individuality, rebellion and the freedom to create one’s own rhythm.
The challenge was to translate that raw, hand-drawn energy onto the curved architecture of a can—allowing the illustration to reveal itself differently with every turn. Pepsi’s iconic colour palette brought a new charge to the monochrome artwork, transforming something intimate and analogue into an object of popular culture.
The sketch had travelled—from thought to hand, from paper to metal, and finally into the hands of young people who could hold, turn and relish every stroke with every sip.
